These are good points,
More businesses are archiving their microfiche now as retrieval is never straight forward. We help the companies archive such data, but it should be pointed out to them that if this data is lost or damaged it could be catastrophic. Especially with disasters such as recent floods.
Maybe it should be made a legal requirement?
