Earlier this month Gov.
Deval Patrick approved legislation that aims to minimize Massachusetts’s rising
health care costs. The bill should, among other things, accelerate the adoption of electronic health records (
EHR) by providing $25 million a year to require all doctors and hospitals to transfer over to a digital documentation system by 2015. With all the advantages that such a system has over previous methods, it’s a wonder why it has taken so long.
This a major opportunity for us to show our value in integrating these new systems. I will have more to say about this soon.
Until then here is a link to the full story on our web page.
